Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi will be
conducting Joint CSIR-UGC Test (also called National Eligibility Test or UGC NET)
2012 for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship for
Indian nationals. The Test / Exam will be held on 17/06/2012 at various exam centres
across the country. This is the main test for determining the eligibility of the
candidates for JRF and appointment as lecturers in various institutions in India .
The award of JRF (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on
their finding admission/placement in a university/ national laboratory/
institution of higher learning and research, as applicable. The candidates who
will be qualifying for the award of JRF (NET) will receive fellowship either
from CSIR or University Grants Commission (UGC) as per their assignment or from
the schemes with which they may find association. The candidates who will be declared
eligible for JRF under UGC scheme will be governed by UGC rules/regulations in
this regard.
The admit card / Permission letter / Hall Ticket for UGC CSIR NET 2012
will be dispatched to the eligible candidates in the last week of May 2012. The
Registration Status of candidates has been uploaded on the official website http://csirhrdg.res.in which the candidates may check
by entering the Form No. and Date of Birth.
