West Bengal Primary / Assistant Teacher Eligibility Test (WBTET) 2012 -2013 Application Form & Bank Branch List

The West Bengal Board of Primary Education has invited applications for recruitment of 34559 Assistant Teachers in Government Aided / Sponsored Primary / Junior Basic Schools in various districts across the State of West Bengal. This is major teacher recruitment drive of the West Bengal Government. The initial notification in this regard was published on 19.10.2012 which contained district wise details of vacancies of assistant teachers in West Bengal. The initial advertisement was followed by another notification on 15.11.2012 which outlined the details about availability of application forms and submission thereof. West Bengal Assistant Teacher Information Booklet cum Application Form can be obtained by the interested candidates from the designated bank branches / CLRCs (North 24 Paragans) from November 16, 2012 to 30.11.2012 during working hours of the concerned branches on payment of prescribed fee. The prescribed  fee for SC/ ST candidates is Rs. 25/- whereas fee prescribed for other candidates is Rs. 100. The duly filled in application form for WB Assistant Teacher Post should be submitted in the same bank branch from which the application form was obtained. The last date for submission of filled in application form in the concerned bank branch is 30.11.2012 (upto working hours of the concerned branch). 

The West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (West Bengal TET or WB TET) 2012 -2013 will be held across the State of West Bengal on a single date for selection of Assistant Teachers. The WB TET 2012 will be of total 100 marks comprising 5 sections and each section will carry 20 marks. The list of Bank Branches for collection of WB TET / Assistant Teacher Application forms is given in the notification which is available on the official website of Department of School Education, West Bengal (www.wbsed.gov.in) and the same is not being repeated here for the sake of brevity.
